Talking Of Where I Was Brought Up

Hello, I am Simon. This is My Mum

And this is Me

Together we are walking for 6 hours

From this Our home

To a place we miss

With things like these

Made when I was Only 5

But they already are...

Abandoned.

Others like these

I can't believe I walked here every day from school

And watched this lonely hill we called 'Karima Kamwituria' meaning the hill of a sole survivor

I remember this borehole we called 'Jiker'

It is what it is written here and then I was only in class 1, thanks Japan

I won't talk of the horrible elephants that mauled our shambas every night

Some of these are the only surviving acacias I knew

I wish these were baobabs but hey they are decapitated!

My uncles live around here

Our house was around here, my mum planted that

Looks like Samburus recently had a bush feast

An organic touch of calligraphy?

I still haven't figured out what this cacti is trying to say

But Mum seems to enjoy her land

This was our favorite hang-out place we called 'Kaharo ka Bunda' meaning Zebra's Field

My phone is out of charge I won't get to show you my school. But watch the caption below and tell me if Climate Change is real

I am going back home.
